Experience
I have stayed active in tutoring and learning Mathematics since retiring from the classroom.
Besides independant tutoring, I have been employed as a tutor at Westford Academy and Nashua Community College.

Lowell Catholic High School, Lowell, MA September 2011 - June 2020 retired
I was a full time mathematics teacher, teaching algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, and Advanced Placement Calculus.
Known for my innovative uses of Geogebra, a computer graphing utility, in the classroom.
Set up a virtual classroom and taught online classes with Zoom when the Massachusetts schools closed in March 2020.
Chelmsford High School, Chelmsford, MA September 2001 - June 2011 retired
Full time mathematics instructor at Chelmsford High School.
Primarily taught calculus, pre-calculus, and geometry, along with AP calculus.
Used smartboard technology to teach at Chelmsford High. My room was equipped with a projector and 80" touch screen connected to my computer.
Taught course content using interactive web sites, PowerPoint presentations, and software applications.
Presented teacher professional development workshops to Chelmsford middle school and High School teachers in using Microsoft Word as a math test making tool.
Before CHelmsford High I was a full time mathematics instructor at Lowell Catholic High School and its predecessor Saint Joseph's Regional High School.

Started AP Calculus program in 1994-95.
Honored with yearbook dedication in 1999.
Coached varsity basketball and cross-country
Served as the Math Department Chair for many years.

Additional Skills and Experience
Managed the student information systems at Lowell Catholic H.S. from 1985 to 2001. I was responsible for keeping accurate student records and printing reports including schedules, class lists, and report cards.
Was coached by Hall of Fame Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun in high school.
Took an active role in Westford youth sports when my children participated.
